How to Save your Doll:
1) Drag the props onto the areas indicated
for dollmaking. The grey one is for props that might be white and that
wouldn't show up on the white area
2) Make sure that you can see
the entire doll in your screen. Then press the PrintScrn/SysRq button
3) Open up your paint program. This could be
anything as primitive as MS Paint, or it could be as fancy as Paint Shop
Pro.
4) Once you've opened the paint program,
press Ctrl+V, or use the menu and select "Paste". This should give you what
is called a Screen Shot, or picture of what was on your screen when you
pressed PrintSrcrn/SysRq.
5) Crop the image so that only your doll
shows. You should try to leave only one or two pixels of space around her.
Do any editing you want, such as changing eye color, clothing, etc. Feel
free to customize her any way you like!
6) Save as a .gif image. If your program
causes the image's colors to mess up, you can edit it so that they are more
normal. NEVER save as a jpeg! This causes the image to blur something
terrible! And bitmaps won't work on websites.
7) You might also want to make your doll with
a transparent background so that she can show up on any background. In MS
Paint, this is found under the "Image-->Attributes" area. Fill the
background in with a color that contrasts with the doll, and isn't anywhere
else. Lime Green usually works. Then use that color as the transparent
background. This adds a nice touch to dolls.
If you're using MS Paint, make sure that under "Image", "Draw Opaque"
is NOT checked!
